Net Neutrality: The Single Greatest Threat to Your Freedom

Straight up, "Net Neutrality" as it is called is the single greatest threat that you face to your freedom. Period. It's very simple to understand people. You like the Internet and its freedom right? Then don't involve government in it. They mess up everything the touch. And now you want to let them play with your only source of unadulterated information? Give me a break. 

But it's worse than them just buggering up your interwebs. This is the first step. First, put the FCC in charge of the Internet, treat it like a utility. Then at a later date attack the types of things that are allowed to flow through the pipes. 

Let me lay it out there for you.

That means government is in charge of what you can see on the Internet.

I currently have the freedom and ability to check up on my elected officials, and what they are proposing, while streaming porn, shopping for ammunition, searching for a particular bible verse, downloading music, playing xbox, and talking to like minded friends over Facebook messenger. The government takeover of your internet would potentially inhibit those activities. It just depends on who has control of the government. That in my opinion is not worth the faster internet speed argument that I have heard floated in support of NN.

People again it's simple, Net Neutrality will destroy the Internet as we know it. More government is not the solution to....something that is not a problem. 

Write your congressmen right now and tell them to oppose "Net Neutrality" on the basis that you desire to keep the government in the role of a consumer of Internet not its arbiter.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to voice strong opposition to the proposed change to current law that would make it illegal to manufacture, import or sell on the open market M855 / SS109 ammunition.

The claimed purpose of this change is to “protect the lives and safety of law enforcement officers from the threat posed by ammunition capable of penetrating a protective vest when fired from a handgun”.

As the Technical Branch well knows, all rifle ammunition of a common caliber such as .223 / 5.56 is capable of penetrating threat level IIA and IIIA body armor regardless of the firearm that is used to fire it. M855 / SS109 is no more of a threat to law enforcement than M193 or Horandy VMAX loads are.

It’s also worth noting that rifle caliber pistols are rarely used in violent crime, their usage is a statistical zero for all practical purposes, which further begs the question as to why this proposed rule change is even being considered.

Banning the availability of affordable surplus ammunition under the false pretense that it’s in the name of officer safety is a direct violation of our 2nd Amendment rights. To reiterate, it is clear that this proposed change places an unreasonable restriction on law abiding citizens that will have unintended consequences and will further negatively impact our ability to exercise freedoms guaranteed to us by Constitution of the United States.

Wolf Releases Optics Line

SHOT Show 2015:

Wolf officially releases its line of optics for sale to the public. Included in its offerings is the PSU, a 1x-4x competitor to the Raytheon Elcan. It is equipped with graduations for work out to 800 m and includes seven low light reticle settings as well as throw lever quick-detach mounts.

Also, included in their offerings is a series of night vision devices. Of these the PN23 is a dedicated night optic with integral IR illumination source. Similarly, the PN22 maintains all of the capabilities of the PN23; however, also includes the ability to transition to no IR support for full use during the daylight hours. Lastly, the PN21K is a PVS-14 style monocular designed to be mounted on the head or hard mounted behind an optic on a rifle.

At VSO we had the opportunity to run these optics through several hard days of testing and evaluation and were impressed.

That said significant improvements have been made. These are now ground-up constructed. Instead of saying what is wrong with the AK? How do we fix it? The directive was to take the strides of the Galil and put them to work in the ACE.

What are we talking? Skeleton-polymer lower (weight reduction), enhanced ergonomics (including charging handle movement), elemental resistance (gun is now sealed off  like an AR rather than an AK), modularity (monolithic top rail for optics mounting).

Elite Tactical Systems VS IraqVeteran8888 and VSO Gun Channel

We recently attended the Big 3 Event in Dayton Beach, FL. While there we met up with Elite Tactical Systems Group (ETS) and learned about their new magazines. In conversation with the ETS guys the topic of rugged testing came up and their claims were interesting. So I flat out asked them "Let's test them right now, what do you think?" They agreed and of we went.

While prepping up to go off the wire Eric and Chad from IraqVeteran8888 were passing by and we asked if they wanted to come play? They obliged and played a major role in the testing. So without further delay here is our torture testing of ETS Magazines.

Shoot Steel Close Range Rifle Targets

ShootSteel.com has a wide variety of offerings in their line of AR500 steel targets. We initially acquired some targets from their static setup line and were very happy with them. However, they showed signs of damage when bimetallic jacketed bullets were shot at them. Their solution was for us to test out their close range rifle setups. These things were awesome. ShootSteel personnel even attended the testing. Probably to make sure we didn't cheat and shoot something ridiculous at them.
